ALISHA is named after the historian Alisha Rankin, whose work recovers the stories of women whose knowledge quietly shaped everyday life. MAMOA translates this spirit into a chair defined not by spectacle, but by substance: graceful, composed, and deeply considered. It is a design that reveals its strength through a quiet presence rather than an overt display.
The dining chair is conceived as a compact upholstered form shaped by balanced proportions. The backrest wraps gently around the sitter, creating a protective shell that offers comfort without excess. Its silhouette is soft yet precise, with no gesture louder than necessary. The fully upholstered seat reads as a single continuous volume, lifted by slender wooden legs that introduce clarity and lightness to the composition.
