Developed with Conceitos de Arte, this sofa amplifies the concept on a room scale: an elongated, asymmetrical seat that seems to glide above a sculpted timber platform. It is a quiet invitation to sit, lean, or stretch along a horizontal line of wood, where comfort and craftsmanship are seamlessly intertwined.

design concept and inspiration

Designed as a central sculptural anchor

The sofa is built around a gently curved cushion supported by an elliptical base with tapered legs. Its irregular silhouette provides a natural reclining direction, with a backrest that adjusts in height to offer varied support. The wooden base follows the seat’s outline like a thin, continuous shore, slightly recessed so that the upholstered volume appears to float, giving the piece an elevated stance despite its generous proportions.

SUR LE BOIS naturally defines zones within a lounge—one end suited for upright conversation, the other for quiet moments of repose. When paired with the collection’s armchair and centre table, it creates a cohesive island of seating. It is a piece that reinforces a singular idea: that life in a room should unfold along a steady, wooden line.
