MARGARET takes its name from the Greek margaritēs, meaning “pearl” — a symbol of quiet rarity and value that does not need to be ostentatious. The table also nods to Margaret Cavendish, a 17th-century philosopher who published bold works on the nature of substance. In this spirit, the piece is conceived as a compact, solid “thought” in wood and brass: a low, dense volume with a single, precise line of light, embodying the idea of something precious, self-contained and quietly powerful.

The design is a pure rectangular block clad in richly figured wood veneer, appearing as a single carved piece that sits close to the floor. A slim brass inlay runs as a continuous “equator” around the middle of the volume, visually dividing the mass into two balanced halves and adding a delicate touch of reflection to the grounded form.

Designed for living rooms and hospitality lounges, the MARGARET Center Table acts as the quiet, sculptural center of a seating composition. Its low profile encourages a relaxed, intimate atmosphere around sofas and armchairs, while the generous top offers a pristine plane for layered displays of books and objects. It brings a sense of weight and focus to the interior, anchoring the room like a rare, polished pearl.
