AYGUN is a feminine name of Turkish and Azerbaijani origin, meaning “moonlight”, combining the words for moon (ay) and sun/day (gün). It evokes a calm, luminous presence that anchors a space softly through light rather than weight. The table translates this celestial idea into a sculptural piece, with a clear glass top appearing as a bright disc resting on a warm walnut core.
The design is built around a central pedestal of opposing walnut cones, creating a fluid, hourglass-like movement. A transparent glass top—available in circular or quadrangular formats—rests on this base, featuring a sloped edge that catches the light like a fine halo.
Designed for dining rooms and hospitality settings, AYGUN brings a sense of openness and clarity to any interior. Its pedestal base provides maximum legroom and easy circulation, while the transparent top keeps the sculptural wooden core visible. It offers an elegant balance between lightness and presence, acting as a bright, grounded surface for gathering.
