MARI takes its name from the ancestral figure of Basque mythology, associated with the rhythms of the earth and the balance between softness and force. MAMOA reinterprets this spirit in a chair shaped by comfort and a quiet, grounded character. It is a piece that feels both fluid and structured, carrying a composed presence without needing excess.

design concept and inspiration

MARI infuses warmth and character into every gathering

The dining chair is defined by a gently sculpted upholstered shell in which the backrest, seat, and arms flow in a single continuous movement. Its integrated arms rise asymmetrically from the body, giving the silhouette a subtle sense of motion and individuality. Fully upholstered from top to leg, the piece reads as a single, unified volume—an approach that enhances the fabric’s texture and the precision of the tailoring.

Its sculpted arms provide ergonomic support for leisurely meals and engaging conversation, while the chair’s compact footprint ensures effortless integration into a variety of dining settings.
